Spigley is often avoided simply because of her shape. Many mistake her for a spider because of her
small body and her multitude of legs. She has seen her fair share of people who have tried repeatedly
to squash her, or those who run away screaming, because they are terrified of spiders. As you can imagine,
she must be very careful of who sees her, and of where she is when she goes places.
Another source of problems for Spigley are the small green circles around her belly. They sometimes make
awkward noises that people do not recognize. Some fear that she is trying to cast a spell on them through
low noises that are inconspicious. This is definitely untrue. The noises are simply caused by her shifting
a part of her body. Even though it is perfectly harmless, many still choose to avoid her.
